Welcome!
Corporate worship is the central activity of the church, so it is a great introduction to our church. Every week we come from different experiences and join together to worship the One True God. Worship is exciting! We want it to be exciting, substantive, and challenging. Our Worship Team works diligently, mostly behind the scenes, to help plan the worship experience. Good worship planning is essential and challenging. This is music, sermon, scripture, drama, liturgists and liturgy, and children and adults coming together!

Times and Styles of Worship:
Crozet United Methodist Church worships on Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

The 8:30 Cross Walk service is our contemporary worship service featuring our CrossWalk praise Band featuring our CrossWalk praise band with guitars, drums, keyboards, and vocals. The worship is informal.

At 11:00, we have our Traditional Service, using a somewhat more formal liturgy than 8:30, with old favorite hymns.

How to Dress For Your Visit to Crozet UMC:
Any way you like! At both Sunday morning worship services, as well as at all other church events, you will find people who are dressed very casually and people who “dress up.” Come as you are!

Children and Worship
Children of all ages are always welcome at all worship experiences at Crozet United Methodist Church. We provide a professional nursery for infants and toddlers, which includes a discreet, silent pager system, so we can call you out of worship, should our able staff need you during worship.

KinderChurch
During both worship services, children ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to leave early in the service and meet in the Fellowship Hall to experience their own time of worship and teaching.
They then rejoin the worship service during the offering and stay until the end of the service.

Where to Enter the Building
Our facility is the synthesis of four buildings, so navigation can sometimes be a challenge! When you arrive on our property, you will see:

Our original white-frame  sanctuary. We call this the "Old Sanctuary," and it served us as our worship space from 1889 to 1962 and currently houses our nursery, Kingswood Preschool, and our K-first grade children's Sunday School classes.

Attached to the back of the Old Sanctuary is the white cinder block Kent Building. The top level of this building houses our Kingswood Preschool office, our preschool and second and third grade Sunday School classes, and our "Sages of the Ages" adult Sunday School Class. During the week, our Kindermusic program meets here as well.

On the lower level of the Kent building, you will find our church office, pastor's office, and our fourth and fifth grade Sunday School classes. This area is easily accessed by going down the stairway behind our playground.

Our newest building is our Fellowship Hall. This is the brick building with the high roof that faces Jarmans Gap Road. The upper level of this room is used on Sunday mornings by our "Young" Adult Fellowship Class. We also have snacks and fellowship time here after the 8:30 Cross Walk service. Our church meals and Tuesday night adult classes are also held here. In the basement of the Fellowship Hall, you will find the home of our Scouting programs, Youth Room, and our food pantry.

Finally, the building in front of the Fellowship Hall and beside the Old Sanctuary is our current Sanctuary. Here is where we worship at 8:30 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings. There are exterior doors on three sides of the sanctuary, but we suggest using the one on the Crozet Avenue side of the building. There you will find greeters who can answer questions you may have about the church and provide you with a worship bulletin. If you are visiting our church, please help yourself to one of our blue gift bags, which you will see on your left as you enter the Sanctuary.
